C. Which Attractions Should I Use Genie+ and The Lightning Lanes For?
You want to make sure that you make Genie+ count, so you want to use it on attractions that will most likely have a long line that you can skip. Throughout your park day you will be able to see the wait times at the attractions, so you want to choose to use Genie+ on rides that have the longest wait times. At the beginning of your park day, before you even get to the park, you want to be prepared with which rides you will book first at 7am EST when the system opens up for booking. Knowing what you are booking at 7AM each day will set you up for a good day.
Here are my top attractions at each park that I suggest choosing first in the order I would be doing the bookings in the app. Those marked with a TH are what I would consider to be a bit more thrilling, so they may not appeal to a very young child:
Magic Kingdom:
- Virtual Queue for TRON (TH), or purchase the Individual Lightning Lane if you cannot get the virtual queue
- Use Genie+ to schedule either Jungle Cruise Or Peter Pan’s Flight
- Purchase the Individual Lightning Lane for Seven Dwarves Mine Train (TH)
Epcot:
- Virtual Queue for Guardians of the Galaxy (TH), or purchase the Individual Lightning Lane if you cannot get the virtual queue
- Use Genie+ to schedule Remy’s Ratatouille
Hollywood Studios:
- Use Genie+ to schedule Slinky Dog Dash
- Purchase the Individual Lightning Lane for Rise of the Resistance (TH)
Animal Kingdom:
- Use Genie+ to schedule Kilimanjaro Safari
- Purchase the Individual Lightning Lane for Flight of Passage (TH)
It’s important to note that some rides have a minimum height requirement. Here are all the height requirements for every park:
Once you have a good understanding of how to use Genie+ and the Lightning Lanes, then you can move on to wrap up the final details for your magical vacation…
