G. Memory Maker
Disney has several photographers throughout the park. You will encounter them at all character meet & greets and at several photo ops locations in the parks. They will snap photos with their own camera, but you can also ask them to take photos with your camera/phone if you’d like to have them on your own device. The photos that they take with their cameras will end up on your My Disney Experience account. You can access all these photos and download the ones you like, but that could add up quickly as each photo download is approximately $15 per photo.
Disney offers a package called “Memory Maker”, which will give you access to download all the photos on your account from your vacation. Along with access to download your photos, you will get to dress them up with special borders and stickers. The photographers will also offer you several different “Magic Shots”, which insert Disney characters in to your photos with you. Memory Maker also includes all of your on-ride photos and videos that show up in your account. If you end up taking a lot of photos with the Photopass photographers, you could end up with hundreds of photos to download, which may make getting the Memory Maker worth it.
The cost of the Memory Maker package is $169 advance purchase (purchased at least 3 days before you use it) or $199 if you purchase it while on vacation for immediate use. All of your photos will remain on your account for 45 days after they were taken, which gives you plenty of time to decorate them and download them once you are home.
