Are you having trouble choosing your Animal Kingdom rides? First-time visit and you have no clue which ones will be good for your family? Look no further, this guide will give you all the details you need to decide which rides are best for you. I have it separated in to the different areas of the park.

I have provided you with a description of each ride, along with important facts. I have also provided some ratings to help you decide if it is the type of ride you are looking for. Each ride also has an on-ride video that you could take a look at to get a complete feel for the ride.

Pandora

Flight of Passage

Take a flight on the back of a banshee over Pandora! You’ll be lifted in front of a massive Imax screen that will make you feel as if you are really flying. The journey is out of this world and it is one of the highest rated rides at Disney World right now. A ride you will never forget!

Na’vi River Journey

Take a relaxing boat ride through the bioluminescent forest of Pandora. This slow moving ride will provide you with visually stunning scenery as you witness how the forest lights up after dark. You’ll get to see some interesting creatures and see some of the Navi themselves!

Africa

Kilimanjaro Safaris

The closest you’ll get to an authentic Safari ride without having to actually go to Africa! This jeep ride takes you through many different areas where you will get to view the majestic animals of Africa. You’ll see lions, giraffes, elephants, hippos, cheetahs and so many more!

Festival of the Lion King

This is not a ride, but a musical show. If you are a fan of The Lion King, then this will be a must-see for you. It tells the story of the movie through song and visually stunning live performances. You’ll get to enjoy some great music, acrobats and even a fire eater!

Wildlife Express Train

This train ride will take you over to Rafiki’s Planet watch. Along the train ride you will get to see some of the areas of the park where the animals stay overnight. They give you some interesting information about how the park manages taking care of all the animals.

At Rafiki’s Planet watch, you’ll get to see some farm animals up close at Affection Section. In Conservation Station, you’ll have the opportunity to learn about animals from Cast Members and you may even get to view a live surgery. Sometimes you may even find some characters there!

DinoLand U.S.A.

DINOSAUR

Go on an expedition to search for dinosaurs! This bumpy ride will take you back in time where you will encounter many dinosaurs, some friendly and some not! A word of warning, while fun, this ride is quite bumpy, loud and very dark.

TricerapTop Spin

This ride is for all ages! You’ll embark in to your dinosaur vehicle and then go soaring round and round. You can seat 4 people per vehicle and you will get to control how high in the sky you go.

Asia

Expedition Everest

This ride will most definitely give you a thrill! If speed and height is what you seek, then this ride is for you. You’ll climb up Mount Everest in search for the Yeti and then soar back down, some of it backwards and in the dark! This ride gets top points for the thrills it gives you.

Kali River Rapids

In this raft ride, you’ll get to experience some pretty choppy waters. Prepare to get wet as you go on a thrilling ride through a whitewater adventure with some dips along the way. Make sure to store all your belongings in the lockers right outside the ride because you will get soaked!

Discovery Island

It’s Tough to be a Bug

Join Flick from A Bug’s Life to learn what it’s like to be a bug. This 3D movie experience will give you an inside look in to what it’s likes to shrink down to the size of a bug. Be prepared for some creepy crawly surprises along the way!
